“Life is a lot like jazz. . . it’s best when you improvise. . .” - George Gershwin

Welcome to the online gallery of John Froehlich, an emerging artist specializing in painting jazz, blues and rock art. Dynamic music portraits painted in an expressionist style not seen in ages, it's music art at it's most personal and unique.

I have over 700 Jazz paintings, Blues paintings and Rock paintings in my portfolio and have produced art work for CD's, music publications, posters & t-shirts. Numerous commissions have been gladly accepted, for restaurants, homes and offices, worldwide!

Feel free to browse through the selected works to your left and if there is anything that strikes your fancy, feel free to email me and let me know. As well, if you would like to commision me to create a Jazz portrait, Rock portrait and/or Blues portrait for yourself or as a gift for a dear friend or loved one, please click here and we'll work something out. Enjoy.

“To the person who uses music as a medium for the expression of ideas, feelings, images, or what have you; anything which facilitates this expression is properly his instrument.” - Bill Evans
